Sexual Assault Nurse Training Opportunities

Howdy!

Texas A&M University College of Nursing Forensic Healthcare program is starting year two of our HRSA grant focused on training RNs and APRNs to be Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs) in rural and underserved areas to provide trauma informed care for patients who have been victims of abuse. We will be accepting 30 nurses for year two who need assistance in training for Adult/Adolescent SANE. We will be assisting with travel expenses and meals. We will also be doing reimbursements for anyone wanting to sit for the IAFN SANE-A exam.  Below is the link for anyone who is interested to apply for a spot. We will be choosing 30 people who meet the criteria listed in the link for SANE training and 20 practicing SANEs who would like to sit for the SANE-A. Please feel free to forward this email to whomever may be interested in applying.

The deadline to apply is September 15, 2019.

Thank you and we look forward to working with you!
